Banana Peeler
Caraga Region: an agricultural-oriented area is one of the producers of high quality bananas reaching up to 3.6% of the Philippines’ total production. Unfortunately, the region is still stagnant in terms of technology in producing and processing. Caraga still adopts the conventional manual peeling in which safety and sanitary is being compromised. The demand for the improvement is evident and as an innovation of the peeling process, automation is necessary since it improves the output, robustness of the processes and predictability of the quality.
With this technology, banana will be pushed to the skin divider full of blades that will slice the skin of banana into eight parts, it will be carried to the peeler where a pointed aluminum tooth peels the banana.
Using this technology, peeling bananas will be more easier , safer and tidier. It is easy to operate and low-cost maintenance is required.
